PREGO PORK STEAK ROLLS

PREGO PORK STEAK ROLLS

  • Eskort Pork Prego steaks (packet of 3 pieces)
  • 2 large onions, cut in half and cut up into slices
  • 3 pão Portuguese bread rolls, cut in half horizontally
  • 1 tub of guacamole
  • Prego or peri-peri sauces
  • oil for frying

First fry the onions until translucent and going golden brown, scoop out of the pan and keep aside.
In the same pan fry the pork steaks until done to your liking.
While the steaks are frying, toast the cut sides of the pão’s on a dry non-stick surface till warm and crispy.

Put guacamole on the cut side of the top of the roll. Put your sauce on the cut side of bottom roll then onion and steak strips*. You can add more sauce on the steak. Tuck in!

Note:
I prefer cutting the steak into strips then it’s easier to eat like a burger without pulling the whole steak out of the roll.
