When I’m confused about making rolls or buns. I make them both. This is my favourite recipe. Super easy and makes 1 dozen.

  • 4 cups of cake flour
  • 1 tablespoons of instant yeast
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon of milk powder
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • ¾ cups of water
  • ¾ cups of milk
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • extra egg, to brush with

Add all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix. Mix the milk, water and butter together. Microwave for 1 minute. Remove from microwave, add egg and beat together.
Mix the dry and wet ingredients together.
Leave to rise for 2 hours.
Make 12 equal portions. Lay on your sprayed tray and brush with a beaten egg.
Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake at 180ºC for 20 minutes or until done.

Delicious hot out of the oven with butter, cheese or jam.❤
