BACON AND SPINACH ROLL

  • 1 roll of puff pastry
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 150 g creamed spinach
  • 250 g diced bacon
  • 5 ml Italian herbs
  • black pepper
  • 1 egg, whisked

Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
Spread out the roll of puff pastry and spread it with cream cheese.
Follow it up by spreading the creamed spinach on top of the cheese.
Sprinkle the diced bacon over the cheese and roll up the puff pastry.
Place the roll on a prepared oven tray.
Brush the pastry log with egg and place in the oven.
Bake for 30 – 35 minutes until golden brown.
Let it cool down for a few minutes and cut into slices.
