OLD FASHIONED RIVIERA BISCUITS

  • 250 g butter
  • ¼ cup oil
  • ¾ cup icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon caramel essence
  • ½ cups Maizena (corn flour)
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 cups cake flour

Cream the butter, oil and icing sugar in a bowl.
Add the Maizena and salt and mix.
Sift and add the flour to the butter mixture.
Mix until it forms a soft dough.
Use biscuit cutters or a piping bag and nozzle to make shapes on a prepared sheet pan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 12 – 15 minutes.
Decorate with melted chocolate.
