HOMEMADE YOGHURT

HOMEMADE YOGHURT

If you have the last four tablespoons of plain yoghurt in your container, you can easily convert it into a 1kg tub of yoghurt.

  • 1 litre of full cream milk
  • 4 tablespoons of yoghurt

Pour the milk into a pot and heat on a low heat for around 15 minutes. Make sure the heat is not turned up. At around 15 minutes you will notice the milk to be hot not boiling. No bubbles. Switch off the stove and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
Mix 4 tablespoons of the warmed milk with the 4 tablespoons of yoghurt and then mix together with the milk mixture.
Close your pot and cover with a thick towel. Leave in a warm place overnight and the next morning you have a lovely yoghurt.
So creamy and delicious.
