TASTY CINNAMON BUNS

“These buns are very tasty.”

  • 500 g cake flour
  • 10 g dry yeast
  • pinch of salt
  • 60 g butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk, lukewarm
  • 1 cup water, lukewarm
  • sugar and cinnamon mix, to taste
  • 50 g butter
  • Icing:
  • 250 g Mascarpone
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 5 dessert spoons lemon juice

Mix flour, yeast, salt and milk well. Add butter, eggs and the water to form a brioche French dough. You might have to add some extra flour to get a nice soft dough like bread dough. Let it rest for one hour. Cut dough in two, roll out and spread with some butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Roll up and cut into pieces and let it rest another 30 minutes.
Bake at 180 °C for 30 – 40 minutes.

Icing:
Mix Mascarpone, icing sugar and lemon juice well. Spread over cinnamon rolls as soon as it come out of oven. When it is cooled down, cover with cling film so it will stay nice and soft.
