PITA BREAD

Pita bread is so easy to make. Can be filled with any filling of your choice. My family likes steak strips and chips or chicken strips and chips.

  • 2½ cups of cake flour
  • 1 sachet yeast
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • ½ cup of warm milk
  • ½ cup of warm water
Sift dry ingredients in your bowl. Add the oil and butter.

Finally make a soft dough with the warm milk and water. Leave to rise for 1 hour.
Break dough in 8 portions. Lightly roll out until the size of a side plate.
Bake at 200ºC for 5 minutes.
