PARMESAN BRUSSELS SPROUTS
Made this last night. Will make this sauce again with different vegetables next time. It was very good.
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup cream
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- ½ cup grated Parmesan
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper
- 3 cups brussels sprouts, cut in half
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
Panfry the brussels sprouts and garlic for about 5 – 7 minutes. Then set aside.
Add the broth, cream and cornstarch and whisk it together in the pan. Then add the cheese, salt and seasoning. Simmer until it starts to thicken. Then add the brussels sprouts.
I grated some extra parmesan over and baked it a little longer in the oven.
