MICROWAVE HOT CHOCOLATE CAKE

  • 6 sachets (20 g each) NESTLÉ Fudge Sundae and Chocolate Flavoured Hot Chocolate Drink, plus extra for dusting (120 g)*
  • ½ cup (62 g) cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons oil, of choice
  • ¼ cup low fat milk
  • ½ cup boiling water
  • Serving suggestion:
  • vanilla ice cream

Microwave cooking times may vary due to wattage; use the timings below as a guide.
In a wide 15 cm round microwavable bowl, add the NESTLÉ Fudge Sundae and Chocolate Flavoured Hot Chocolate, flour, and baking powder and mix until combined.
Create a shallow hole in the centre of the dry ingredients and add the oil, milk, and ½ cup of hot water. Whisk with a fork until a smooth batter has formed.

Chef’s Tip:
Ensure to mix until there are no lumps!
Microwave the cake batter for 3 minutes or until just cooked through.

Chef’s Tip:
Important to note that the microwave used in testing was 1350W.
Allow the cake to rest, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
Dust the top of the cake with more hot chocolate powder. Slice and serve warm with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream and a sprig of mint and ENJOY!

Note:
Any hot chocolate would work.
