HEERLIKE TAMATIESOP MET IDEAL MELK

“Vanaand maak ek my gunsteling tamatiesop. Die resep was jare gelede op die Ideal-melk blikkie (ingedampte melk) se etiket. Ek het hierdie sop al so baie gemaak; dit bly ‘n treffer. In die winter hou ons lekker kuieraande en elkeen bring ‘n ander sop. Hierdie een is altyd eerste op. Resep kan baie suksesvol verdubbel word.”

  • 1 ui, gekap
  • 1 huisie knoffel, fyngedruk (vars!!!)
  • 3 eetlepels (45 ml) botter
  • 5 eetlepels (75 ml) koekmeel
  • 1 blikkie ideal melk
  • 800 ml water
  • 1 blikkie tamaties of 6 geskilde tamaties (vars, ryp tamaties bly bo-baas!)
  • 65 g tamatiepasta
  • 2 eetlepels (30 ml) Ina Paarman hoenderaftreksel poeier
  • 10 ml suiker

Soteer ui en knoffel in botter tot sag. Dit neem omtrent 10 – 15 minute. Dit is baie belangrik dat die uie deeglik gaar is, anders is daar harde stukkies in sop agterna. Roer meel by.
Voeg ideal melk en water by en roer tot verdik oor hoë hitte. Voeg res van bestanddele by, bring tot kookpunt, verlaag hitte en prut vir 10 minute.
Verpulp. Vryf deur sif indien verkies om pitjies agter te hou.

Nota deur Petro Borchard:
Krakerige spek stukkies, kroutons, rissie-olie kruie-gegeurde room en bloukaas maak ‘n ideale bykos vir hierdie sop sien foto. Kaas was bietjie van ‘n over-kill.. so dis optioneel.

  • TOMATO SOUP
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed (fresh!!!)
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) butter
  • 5 tablespoons (75 ml) cake flour
  • 1 tin ideal milk
  • 800 ml water
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes or 6 ripe chopped and peeled tomatoes, fresh is best!
  • 65 g tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Ina Paarman chicken stock powder
  • 10 ml sugar

Sauté onion and garlic in butter until soft. It takes about 10 – 15 minutes. It is important to cook the onions until really soft, otherwise you will have little hard bits in your soup. Stir in flour. Add ideal milk and water and stir over high heat until it starts to thicken. Add rest of ingredients, bring to boil and then simmer for 10 minutes. Liquidise. (rub through sieve for a smooth soup without pips).
