DATE AND MARIE BISCUIT DELIGHT
- 250 g butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 250 g dates, pits removed and cut into small pieces
- 1 cup of desiccated coconut
- 1 packet of Marie biscuits broken by hand
- 1 slab of dairy milk, optional
Melt butter and sugar in a pot on stove top.
Remove from heat and add beaten egg and stir.
Place back on heat and add dates and coconut and cook for 5 minutes.
Lastly add broken biscuits and switch stove off.
Put into a casserole dish and flatten with back of a spoon.
Spread melted chocolate over and dust with desiccated coconut.
Note:
The chocolate is optional. I just use 1 slab of dairy milk.
When cool, cut into squares.
