CREAMED SPINACH

CREAMED SPINACH

  • 600 g fresh spinach
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 15 ml melted butter
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 120 ml milk
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • salt and pepper 

Blanch the spinach and then put it in cold water to cool down.
Press out all the water in the leaves.
Cut the spinach ball into small cubes.
In pot, melt butter and saute the onion and garlic.
Now add the cream cheese and stir to break down cheese to creamy consistency.
Add milk and cook until not so much liquid.
Add pinch of nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste and spinach.
Cook few minutes and enjoy.
