OVEN BAKED CHICKEN LIVERS
- 12 fresh chicken livers
- southern coating (I used original but you can use peri peri or any flavour you like)
- salt and pepper
- chicken spice or Italian seasoning
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
Preheat oven to 175°C. Place Southern Coating and seasonings of your choice in a shallow bowl or plate.
Pour melted butter into another shallow bowl or plate.
Roll whole cleaned and dried chicken livers in butter or margarine, then in coating.
Place coated chicken livers in a lightly greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Turn after 30 minutes and add any remaining butter or if you prefer, some extra butter to the dish.
Enjoy hot with buttered toast and ” Marina se kerrieperskeslaai”.
