BEESSTOWE VLEIS MET GROENTE EN KAAS OP SLAP DEGIE
- ¼ koppie olie
- 1 eier
- paar druppels asyn
- melk
- 1 koppie koekmeel
- 1 teelepel bakpoeier
- sout na smaak
In 250 ml maatkoppie plaas die olie, 1 eier en paar druppel asyn en maak vol tot by 250 ml merk met melk.
Sif meel, bakpoeier en sout saam, meng die nat bestanddele goed in die meelmengsel in.
Dit sal ‘n baie slap degie wees.
Gooi in gesmeerde oondvaste bak (ongeveer 2 liter inhoud) en skep enige gaar koue oorskiet vleis, groente, geblikte vleis soos boeliebief of vis bo-op, sprinkel met ‘n koppie gerasperde kaas en bak by 200 ºC vir 20 – 25 min.

Ek het die degie dubbel aangemaak en gerookte paprika, gedroogde rissie vlokkies bygegooi. Bo-op die degie het ek die koue oorskiet wors in stukkies gesny, 2 rou murgpampoentjies oor gerasper en 1 rooi pepper in klein blokkies opgesny en opgesit. Toe 2 koppies grof gerasperde cheddar kaas oor gesprinkel en in die oond vir 35 min omdat die deeg meer is as oorspronklike resep.

Left over braaivleis turned into delicious savoury tart with boerewors, red pepper and grated baby marrow and covered in cheddar cheese. The oil in the batter makes for a nice crusty bottom on the bake. I originally made this batter with bully beef & tomato/onion mix but have since experimented with a lot more toppings. A quick and easy meal.

Savoury pie from leftover Stroganoff mince with mixed frozen veggies and topped with Cheddar. Hearty meal on lockdown day #6.
Note:
I put half of the runny batter at bottom of greased oven dish then the cooled leftovers and poured the last bit of batter over the top then a cup of grated Cheddar.
