HOMEMADE PROTEIN OAT BARS

Homemade protein oat bars, ready for snacking for the week ahead 💪🏼 Super quick, super easy, and super yummy 😋 Enjoy 😘
I’ve made it multiple times, this is my go-to recipe, we absolutely love it and that is why I brought in the dates as well, for people who don’t want that overpowering peanut butter taste.
When you blend the oats instead of keeping it ‘rough’ it really has the consistency and (almost) taste like fudge 😋😋

  • 1 ½ cups quick or rolled oats (120g) (I blend my oats for a finer texture)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup peanut butter or ¼ cup peanut butter and ¼ cup mashed dates (about 15)
  • ½ cup raw of honey
  • 2/3 cup Protein drink mix (any Herbalife formula 1 would also work)
  • Optional:
  • handful mini chocolate chips, seeds, coconut, dried berries, etc.
  • Stir all ingredients together until really well-mixed.
  • Transfer the mixture to a 8×8 pan lined with greaseproof paper.
  • Place another sheet of greaseproof over the top and bash down and spread until it fills the bottom of the pan.
  • Freeze until hard, then cut into bars.
  • For optimum freshness, store leftover bars in the freezer for up to a month.
