YASMEEN’S PORTUGUESE ROLLS

  • 5 cups cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 tablespoons milk powder
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ cup lukewarm water
  • 50 g melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 sachet instant dry yeast

Add the yeast to the water and sugar and leave for 5 minutes.
Add rest of the ingredients and make a soft dough.
Leave in a warm place to rise for 2 hours.
Break off small pieces and roll in your hands to oblong shape. Brush with water and sift flour on top.
Bake at 200°C for 10 minutes.

Note:
Milk powder is available in all supermarkets. You can use Klim, Cremora even Ellis Brown creamers.
