It is great to serve straight from the oven with butter.

  • 145 g sugar
  • 2 teaspoons syrup
  • 118 ml cold milk
  • 118 ml milk, warmed

Preheat your oven 180ºC.
Sieve self-rising flour.
Mix sugar, syrup and warm milk.
Add cold milk and combine.
Add flour, ½ cup at a time, mix well till smooth.
(Mixture is sticky)
Transfer into a grease loaf pan.
Bake for 40 – 45 minute.
