SPANISH SAUCE
“Wie kan onthou? Lank, lank gelede het jy ‘n Spanish Burger by die Spur geëet. Ons het daardie sous nagemaak. Verlang na die ou dae…”
- 3 onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 red pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 30 ml tomato sauce
- 30 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 15 ml vinegar
- 15 ml brown sugar
- 30 ml sweet red wine
- 15 ml chutney
- 15 ml oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
Fry vegetables in oil until soft. Add all ingredients to the vegetables and cook for five minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Note:
Place a pineapple ring (optional) on a burger patty and serve burger with sauce.
Also good with sausage rolls or steak.
