SAVOURY WAFFLES

Made savoury waffles tonight and topped it with cheese, olives, mushrooms and ham.

  • 210 g cake flour
  • 15 ml baking powder
  • 2 ml salt
  • 300 ml milk
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 50 g olive oil
  • one pack bacon bits, fried
  • 1 cup grated cheese
Sift dry ingredients together.
Whisk milk, egg yolks and oil together.
Add to dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
Add bacon and cheese.
Beat egg whites till stiff and fold in to batter.
Let batter rest for about 30 minutes.
Bake in pre-heated waffle pan until golden brown.

I also added some chopped spring onion and parsley to my batter.
