PINEAPPLE CHICKEN IN THE AIR FRYER

  • 600 g chicken breast
  • 350 g canned pineapple
  • 50 ml pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon Maizena
  • ½ tablespoon ginger
  • ½ tablespoon curry powder
  • 15 ml soy sauce
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 15 ml oil
  • cake flour (enough to coat chicken)

Put the oil, chicken that has been cut in pieces and floured and the salt and pepper in the bowl. Close the lid of the air fryer, set the thermostat dial to position 4 (or 180°), press the bottom heating element button and press the on/off button.
Cook for 8 minutes (separate the pieces of chicken using a spoon if they are stuck together after cooking has completed).
Add the chopped pineapple, ginger and curry and cook for another 3 minutes.
Then add the water, soy sauce and Maizena dissolved in the pineapple juice, close the lid and cook for another 6 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
Ideal paired with Basmati rice.
