PECAN NUT BISCUITS
When it comes to festive baking, traditional recipes are always used in our culture. This recipe is one of those must-haves for the “Eid Celebration”. Definitely one of my favorites. Not a lot of sugar, but fantastic nutty flavor.
- 250 g butter
- 4 tablespoons of castor sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup ground Pecan nuts
- 2 cups of cake flour
Beat the butter and sugar in a bowl until combined.
Add the salt and ground Pecan nuts to the butter mixture and mix through.
Add the flour to the butter mixture and mix to form a soft dough.
Shape the dough in any way you prefer. I made the horse shoe design with the palm of my hands.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160ºC for 15 – 20 minutes.
Sprinkle the baked biscuits with icing sugar.
