MUTTON CURRY
- 1 kg of mutton meat
- ¼ cup of cooking oil
- 1 large onion
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 cloves
- 4 cardamon whole
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon ginger garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 green chillies, slit
- 2 large jam tomatoes, sliced
- 4 potatoes, cut in half each
- 1 tablespoon chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
- ¼ teaspoon tumeric powder
- fresh coriander to garnish
Fry onions with whole spices in a large, heavy based pot until nice golden brown.
Add meat with ginger garlic and salt.
Cook for around 20 minutes until meat is nice and tender.
Add your spices and let it fry with the meat for a minute.
Add 1 mug of water and the tomatoes and green chillies.
Let it cook for a further 10 minutes until tomatoes are soft.
Add the potatoes with another mug of water and cook until potatoes are soft.
Garnish with coriander.
Enjoy.
