MAGIC CUSTARD CAKE
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- ¾ cup sugar
- 125 g melted butter
- ¾ cup cake flour
- 2 cups lukewarm milk
- icing sugar for dusting
Beat egg whites until stiff, set aside.
Beat together egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla essence.
Add butter – Beat for 2 minutes.
Add flour and mix until all blended.
Slowly add milk and beat until well mixed.
Add egg whites little at a time folding in with a spatula.
Pour batter into pan (I used a rectangle glass bowl) and bake for approximately 50 – 60 minutes (golden brown) at 180ºC.
Cool and dust with icing sugar.
