MACARONI WITH BACON, MINCE AND CHEESE

  • 750 g macaroni (cooked according to packet instructions)
  • 3 medium sized onions, chopped
  • 400 g bacon pieces
  • 800 g lean mince
  • 2 teaspoons chilli beef Aromat
  • 1 teaspoon sweet bazil
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 sachets tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 400 g cheese, grated

Fry the onions, mince and bacon until cooked. Add the seasoning ingredients and the water and cook through. Check for seasoning.
Mix with rinsed macaroni. Place in an oven pan and top with grated cheese.
Bake in the oven  at 180 ºC until cheese melts. Then slowly grill until it is lightly browned color on top.
Serve with homemade Ciabata bread and mixed salad.
