JALAPENO POPPERS WITH BACON
A perfect snack for the rugby today!
- 8 Jalapenos
- smoked ham flavored cream cheese
- ¼ cup grated Cheddar or Tussers cheese
- 8 strips streaky bacon
Cut the Jalapenos in half, deseed and cut the white parts off.
Boil for 5 minutes in water, drain and immerge in ice cold water.
Dry the Jalapenos and place them on a plate.
Fill one half with the grated cheese and the other half with cream cheese.
Join the two halves together and wrap a strip of bacon around, secure with a toothpicks.
Fry the poppers on the braai over hot coals or at 200ºC in an air fryer for 6 minutes on a side or until the bacon is brown and crispy.
Enjoy as a snack or starter.
