Ek het hierdie lekker poeding gister gemaak en dis heerlik klam en nie baie soet nie, en regtig sooo maklik, probeer dit gerus.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar (divided in 2)
  • ½ cup cocoa powder (divided in 2)
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided in 2)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup margarine or butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Pre-heat oven to 160ºC and grease a 20 cm square or round ovenproof dish.
In a small bowl, mix half of the sugar, cocoa powder and chocolate chips and put aside.
In a medium bowl, mix together the remaining sugar, cocoa, chocolate chips, the flour, baking powder and salt.
Whisk the milk, melted butter, egg and vanilla together and stir the milk mixture into the flour mixture until just combined and smooth. The mixture will be stiff.
Spread the batter mixture into the prepared ovenproof dish.
Sprinkle the reserved cocoa, sugar and chocolate chip mixture evenly over the batter.
Carefully pour the boiling water over the top of the dry mixture on the batter. Do not stir.
Bake for 20 minutes (depending on the oven) or until the top of the cake is cracked and the sauce is bubbling and a toothpick inserted into cakey area comes out mostly clean.
Spoon cake and sauce into bowls and top with ice cream or thick homemade custard.
