GRANDMA’S BUTTER COOKIES
When you just need a taste of yesteryear and nothing fancy. Just something that reminds you of cookies out of your grandma’s kitchen.
- 200 g butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup icing sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 ½ cups of cake flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
Beat butter, sugar and eggs together very well.
Add rest of ingredients and make a soft dough.
Form little balls and place on a prepared cookie sheet.
Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.
Variations:
You can add nuts, smarties or cranberries if preferred.
