  • Cake:
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • ½ cup boiling water
  • ½ cup of cooking oil
  • 1 ¼ cups of cake flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 flake chocolates
  • For the topping:
  • 250 ml cream
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 flake chocolates

Cream eggs, sugar and vanilla essence.
Mix the oil and boiling water and leave aside.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add the oil mix and dry ingredients alternatively into the egg mixture. Mix all well together.
Break 2 flakes and mix into the cake mixture.
Bake at 180 ºC for 30 minutes.

Mix the cream and sugar and whip until stiff. Spread on cake and break 2 flakes on top.

    When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox

    • Hi Zelma, sorry but you will have to turn off the “notify me” on your side, I cannot see it or do anything on my side. Hope you can sort this out.
