ELIZE’S BEEF TONGUE WITH RAISIN SAUCE
Ek het altyd gedink ek gaan nie hou van ‘n rosyntjiesous saam met tong nie, maar toe bewys ek myself verkeerd! Probeer gerus, dit is ‘n heerlike afwisseling van mosterdsous. 👌
- 1 cooked beef tongue
- 100 ml brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard powder
- 1 tablespoon cake flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon black grape vinegar
- 4 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon lemon zest
- 320 ml water
- 100 ml seedless raisins
Mix sugar, mustard powder and cake flour, until all the lumps of the mustard powder are fine, add rest of ingredients and mix well.
Boil on low heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Cut cooked beef tongue into thin slices and serve with this sauce and mashed potato and vegetables/salad.
