EASY FARMERS PIE

EASY FARMERS PIE

  • Base:
  • 2 cups of cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 125 g butter
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • Filling:
  • 300 g chicken fillet
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • pinch of salt
  • dash of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chilli sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • tomatoes
  • green pepper
  • mozzarella cheese, grated

Base:
Sift dry ingredients.
Rub in butter till resembles breadcrumbs.
Pour in the milk and make a soft dough.
Press onto a greased rectangular baking tray.
Filling:
Make a filling by cubing the chicken fillet cooked with the oil, garlic, salt and black pepper. When well cooked switch off the stove and add the chilli sauce, tomato sauce and mayonnaise.
Layer your filling on top of your base. Slice tomatoes and green pepper over and top with mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 180°C  for 15 to 20 minutes. Enjoy.
