DECADENT FISH PIE WITH HAKE

  • 3 Hake fillets (defrost overnight in fridge)
  • 1 packet Potato Bake made as per instructions
  • 3 small carrots, cut into small cubes
  • ½ a cup of frozen peas
  • 5 – 6 medium potatoes (floury variety like Sifra)
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Peel, cut and boil the potatoes until it starts breaking up. Discard any leftover water or boil it away. Add salt to taste. Mash the potatoes until no lumps left. Add a knob of butter and stir the beaten eggs through.
Cut the fish in bite sized pieces. Layer on the bottom of an oven dish that has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Sprinkle the carrots and peas over the fish and slowly pour the Potato Bake mix over.
Spoon the mash on top carefully and smooth the top.

Bake in preheated oven at 180 ºC for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Note:
I baked in my LG Solardom Lightwave oven for 30 min only. In a regular oven it might take a bit longer.
