CHICKEN TIKKA

  • Step 1
  • 1 chicken, cut up in 4 portions
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon crushed green chillies
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Marinate the chicken in the above and steam for 20 minutes. (Cook until water dries up).

  • Step 2
  • 1 tablespoon red crushed chillies
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup of cooking oil of your choice
  • pinch of egg yellow coloring
  • 4 tablespoons of yoghurt/ sour milk
  • Extra:
  • butter

Mix all of the above together except the butter.
Use ¾ of the mixture and marinated the steamed chicken.
Put on a braai and when almost done, coat with the remainder of the spice and rub some butter on before serving.

Serve with chips, roti and salad.
