CHICKEN TIKKA
- Step 1
- 1 chicken, cut up in 4 portions
- 1 tablespoon of garlic
- 1 tablespoon crushed green chillies
- juice of 2 lemons
- 1 teaspoon salt
Marinate the chicken in the above and steam for 20 minutes. (Cook until water dries up).
- Step 2
- 1 tablespoon red crushed chillies
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup of cooking oil of your choice
- pinch of egg yellow coloring
- 4 tablespoons of yoghurt/ sour milk
- Extra:
- butter
Mix all of the above together except the butter.
Use ¾ of the mixture and marinated the steamed chicken.
Put on a braai and when almost done, coat with the remainder of the spice and rub some butter on before serving.
Serve with chips, roti and salad.
