CABBAGE WITH CREAM AND CARAWAY SEEDS

  • 1 small cabbage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 45 ml butter
  • 125 ml cream
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 5 ml caraway seeds
  • Coarsely shred the cabbage. Rinse and drain.
  • Melt the butter in a large pan and fry the onion and garlic until soft.
  • Add the cabbage and toss over a medium heat.
  • Stir in the cream, seasoning and caraway seeds.
  • Transfer to shallow greased ovenproof dish.
  • Cover and bake for 30 minutes at 160°C.
