Best Chocolate cake ever resep kom van Anna Cameron van NZ.

Ek het hierdie koek die laaste maand al 5 keer gebak. Ek gebruik wel ‘n 17 cm pan en bak 2 kleintjies vir 40 min elk. Die resep word oorspronklik in een groot pan van 25 cm gebak vir ±40 min, maar kan langer neem aangesien dit meer deeg en ‘n groter pan is.

  • 260 g flour
  • 375 g sugar
  • 75 g sifted cocoa powder
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1½ teaspoons baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 125 ml oil (I use Canola)
  • 250 ml cup milk
  • 250 ml boiling water
  • Preheat your oven to 160° C.
  • Prepare a 25 cm square or round cake tin by greasing and lining the base and sides with baking paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined, or you can use a stand mixer.
  • Add the eggs, vanilla, oil, and milk, whisking until smooth and lump free.
  • Slowly stir in the boiling water then whisk until fully blended, the mixture will be very runny, this is normal.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared tin and bake for 45 – 60 minutes, checking from 40 minutes as all ovens vary.
  • The cake is done when it springs back to the touch and a skewer comes out clean with no wet batter.
  • Let the cake cool in the tin for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
