UPSIDE DOWN CAKE WITH PEACHES
Ek vandag iets anders probeer, want ek het klomp blikke perskes gekry en dan wil ek iets maak
Dit was hemels!
- Topping:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 can peaches, drained and thinly sliced
Melt the butter and evenly pour into bottom of a blunt pan.
Sprinkle brown sugar onto the melted butter.
Slice peaches in ¼-inch-thick slices and arrange in a circle, peach slices touching each other.
- Cake:
- 1 ½ cups cake flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs, separated
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
Separate the eggs in a bowl. Whip the egg whites with cream of tarter until they form firm peaks, keep aside.
Mix the sugar and butter and add the egg yellow, add the milk, vanilla and salt.
Mix well, add flour and baking powder and mix well.
Fold the egg whites into the flour mix.
Spoon the mixture over the peaches and bake at 180°C for ± 30 min.
