SWEET CHILLI SAUCE

SWEET CHILLI SAUCE

  • 8 chillies
  • 4 red peppers
  • 1 litre water
  • 8 garlic cloves
  • 250 ml white vinegar
  • 500 g sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maizena mixed with a little water – optional

Liquidize the garlic, peppers and chillies.
In a large pot, put together water, sugar and vinegar, and bring to boil while stirring and making sure all the sugar is dissolved.
Add the pepper mixture and boil until it reduced to 40% .
If too thin add the maizena and stir on low heat until maizena is cooked through.
Pour sauce in sterilized bottles.
