SPUR STYLE ONION RINGS

SPUR STYLE ONION RINGS

Lunch today… I really need to get off the food pages 🤣

  • 2 onions, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1½ cups cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oil, to fry (must be hot)

Soak the sliced onion rings in milk and leave for 1 hour or longer. In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt, pepper, onion paste and paprika.
Take a handful of onion rings at a time, shake off excess milk and place into the flour mixture, toss around until coated properly. Dust off the extra flour and add them to the HOT oil.
Deep fry until they are golden brow. Remove from oil and place on paper towel to rid excess oil.

Serve with T-bone with soya/olive oil/garlic/bbq with a mushroom sauce with onion and mixed herbs

  • MUSHROOM SAUCE (cheat)
