SPELT MACARONI WITH PORK MEATBALLS IN POMODORO SAUCE
Saturday comfort food. Showed my daughter how to make a nice & quick meal from a few cupboard essentials.
- 200 g spelt (a ancient grain) macaroni
- 6 pork bangers, skin removed
- half a bottle of passata tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoon brown onion soup powder mixed in a little water
- 2 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Roll the contents of each pork banger into 3 small meatballs. Fry in a little oil on all sides until nicely browned. Add the passata, oregano and smoked paprika and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the brown onion soup powder in water and stir until it thickens.
Serve on the cooked macaroni.
