SAVOURY TRAY BAKE
- 125 g butter (straight from refrigerator)
- 2 ½ cups of cake flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- beaten egg for brushing
Sift dry ingredients.
Add butter and mix into fine bread crumbs.
Beat egg and milk and add to flour mix to form a soft dough.
Divide dough into 2.
Grease a baking tray.
Flatten half the dough at the bottom of the baking tray and fill as you please.
I used a steak filling, topped with boiled eggs, green pepper and tomatoes.
Cover with the rest of the dough.
Brush with a beaten egg.
Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.
