SABRINA’S CUSTARD BERRY CAKE
- Custard:
- 4 egg yolks
- 160 g sugar
- 70 g flour
- 500 ml milk
Beat eggs with sugar add flour.
Boil milk until warm not hot and add to egg mix place on medium heat and cook until custard thickens.
- Sponge:
- 4 eggs
- 240 g butter, unsalted
- 240 g sugar
- 240 g cake flour
Cream butter and sugar until light in colour, add lightly beaten eggs slowly, then add the flour.
Pour into baking tray bake 160°C for 40 min.
To decorate remove some of the cake from center and fill with custard, place berries or fruit of you choice on top.
