ROMIGE EN KRUIDIGE PREI / CREAMY AND SPICY LEEK

ROMIGE EN KRUIDIGE PREI

  • 800 g verse prei
  • 50 g roomboter
  • 125 ml runderbouillon
  • komijnpoeder
  • zeezout
  • vers gemalen zwarte peper
  • nootmuskaat
  • 30 g bloem
  • ½ kopje melk
  • ½ bosje verse peterselie

Prei schoonmaken en in ringen snijden.
Prei ringen in hete boter kort aanbraden en dan bouillon erbij.
Laat ongeveer 20 minuten garen. Met zout, peper, komijn en nootmuskaat op smaak brengen.
Bindt de prei nu, al roerend met melk en bloem.
Nogmaals even laten koken en eventueel met nog wat zout hoog op smaak brengen.
Warm serveren en strooi er dan klein gesnipperde verse peterselie over.

CREAMY AND SPICY LEEK

  • 800 g fresh leeks
  • 50 g butter
  • 125 ml beef broth
  • sea salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • cumin powder
  • nutmeg
  • 30 g cake flour
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ bunch of fresh parsley, washed and chopped

Wash and cut the leeks into rings.
In a pan on the stove, heat the butter and flash fry the leeks and add the broth.
Let the leaks simmer for about 20 minutes.
Season to taste with the salt, pepper, cumin and nutmeg.
Thicken the leek mixture with the milk and flour, while stirring continuously.
Let the leek mixture simmer for a while.
Taste the dish and add salt if necessary.
Sprinkle the leeks with the fresh parsley and serve warm.
