RAINBOW FALOODA (JELLY)
This is made by initially making a water falooda, setting it in the fridge and then adding it to a milk falooda.
- Water falooda:
- 4 cups water
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons of China grass powder
- 4 food colours of your choice
Bring water, sugar and china grass to a boil.
Divide in 4 bowls and colour each one with a different food colour.
Set in the fridge for 2 hours.
Take out and slice into small cubes.
- Milk falooda:
- 4 cups milk
- ½ tin Nestle cream
- ½ tin condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoon china grass powder
- 1 teaspoon Elachi (cardamon powder)
Put milk, sugar, condensed milk in a pot and whisk until almost to boil, then add falooda powder.
Continue whisking, add Elachi and Nestle cream.
Bring the liquid to a gentle boil.
Add cubes of water falooda into your mould and layer alternately with milk falooda.
Leave in fridge for 2 hours to set.
