QUICK YOGURT DOUGH PIZZA
Food to watch rugby by! Pizza dough made with yogurt and self-raising flour for when you are lazy or in a hurry.
I was super lazy today!
- Dough:
- 3 cups self-raising flour
- 1½ cups greek double cream yogurt or plain yogurt
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Topping:
- 1½ cups tomato paste or puree
- 3 garlic cloves, grated
- 3 tablespoons dried Italian herbs
- 3 cups grated cheese (mix of mozzarella, gouda and cheddar)
- olives
- thinly sliced onions
- peppered ham
Mix the dough ingredients well with dough hook attachment on food processor until the dough comes together in a ball and nothing sticks to the side of the bowl.
Turn out onto floured surface and roll out thin.
I rolled out thin enough to cover most of my baking sheet (inside measuring 53 x 33 cm).
Cover the baking sheet in tin foil and spray with olive oil.
Sprinkle the surface lightly with polenta, semolina or maize meal.
Put the rolled out dough on top of the flour on the baking sheet.
Spread the dough with tomato paste.
Add the rest of the topping ingredients and sprinkle with the cheese.
Bake in preheated oven at 180 °C for 20 minutes.
