QUICK SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN
Try it… super lekker. Enough for 2 portions.
- 4 chicken fillet
- 2 eggs
- cake flour
- salt and pepper
- oil for frying
- Sauce:
- 1 cup water
- 30 ml tomato sauce
- ½ cup vinegar
- ½ – 1 cup sugar
- cake flour to thicken
Cut the chicken fillets in cubes.
Whisk the eggs and add flour to make a soft dough (enough to cover cubes).
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Note:
You could add garlic flakes if preferred.
Fry the pieces in hot oil until golden and set aside.
Don’t overload the pot, then the pieces will stick to one another.
Sauce:
Put all ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil.
You might need more sugar, taste a little bit first.
If the sauce is not thick enough, add a little flour, mixed with water and cook though.
When chicken cubes are done, place in a dish and pour sauce over the chicken.
Serve with rice and green salad.
