PENNE PASTA PIZZA SLICES

“If your idea for dinner is scrapped by your fellow chef??? Amanda takes over… fried chicken breast, bulgar wheat salad… never ever thought I would eat some sort of Penne pasta pizza kebab.  Lovely meal thanks. Conclusion… serve extra tomato herby sauce with pizza kebab. To die for. To make this a dish on it’s own, you can add one of the following on top of your sauce… sliced chorizo, fried bacon  bits or ham.”

  • cooked penne pasta (I used large penne, 7 on a stick)
  • medium kebab (sosatie) sticks
  • pizza marinara sauce (we make our own)
  • grilled bacon bits, sliced chorizo or chopped ham, optional
  • 1 cup grated cheese – Mozerella and Cheddar with ¼ cup Parmesan

Form sosaties with cooked penne pasta on a sosatie stick. Seven is enough for one stick/slice.
Brush penne with marinara sauce.
Sprinkle the kebabs with the bacon/chorizo or ham if you are going to use it.
Top with cheese and bake for 5 – 8 minutes under the grill or until the cheese is melted and turning slightly brown.
Enjoy your pizza!!
