OVEN TO AIR FRYER AND HALOGEN OVEN CONVERSION GUIDE
DIE VERSKIL TUSSEN ‘N LUGBRAAIER EN ‘N KONVEKSIE-OOND/ HALOGEEN OONDJIE
Lugbraaier: Klein, geslote ruimte met vinnige warm lug-sirkulasie. Kos kook vinniger.
Konveksieoond: Groter, met waaier-hitteverspreiding, slegs ‘n element van bo, maar stadiger as ‘n Lugbraaier.
Algemene aanpassing van temperatuur en tyd:
As jy ‘n resep het vir ‘n konveksieoond en jy wil dit in ‘n Lugbraaier maak:
Verlaag die temperatuur met ± 15 – 20°C.
Verkort die kooktyd met ± 20 – 25%.
VOORBEELD:
Konveksieoond:
200°C vir 20 minute
In Lugbraaier:
± 180°C vir 15 – 16 minute
Wenke:
Hou die kos dop in die Lugbraaier – dis maklik om kos te gaar te maak of te verbrand.
Skud of draai die kos halfpad deur vir egalige gaarmaak.
Gebruik bakpapier of ’n Lugbraaier-bak indien nodig om lek of plakkery te voorkom.

Air Fryer: Reduce oven time by 25 – 30%

GENERAL RULE OF THUMB
Air Fryer: Reduce oven temperature by 15 – 20 °C
Halogen Oven: Reduce oven temperature by 10 – 15 °C
EXAMPLE 1:
Oven Recipe: 200 °C for 30 minutes
Air Fryer: 180 – 190 °C, 20 – 24 minutes
Halogen: 185 – 95 °C, 24 – 26 minutes
EXAMPLE 2:
Oven Recipe: 180 °C for 45 minutes
Air Fryer: 160 – 170 °C, 30 – 35 minutes
Halogen: 165 – 175 °C, 35 – 40 minutes
Notes:
Always check doneness early. Appliances vary!
When cooking large batches, times may be slightly longer.
For best results, preheat Air Fryer or Halogen oven if your model recommends it.
