  • 1 heaped cup oats
  • 1 packet of brown onion soup (or any soup you like)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon Bovril or Marmite
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 6 eggs
  • oil for shallow baking

Cook the soup with the water until thick.
Add the Bovril to the warm soup.
Add the soup, oats and onion.
Beat the eggs and mix with the soup mix.
Bake spoon fulls in shallow oil until golden brown on both sides.

I let my mix stand for a few minutes to allow the oats to absorb some of the moisture.
