MILKY BAR AND CUSTARD DELIGHT

“My daughter did some baking for her friend’s party. I gave her an easy recipe and she loved it. My daughter used a bit of blue colourant gel for some biscuits.”

  • 250 g butter, softened
  • ¾  cup white sugar
  • ½  cup Maizena
  • ½  cup custard powder
  • 2½  cups cake flour
  • 1 slab milky bar, or more
  • food colourant gel, optional

Beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer.
Gradually add all the other ingredients, besides the cake flour, into the mixer and mix well.
Add the cake flour and make a soft dough with your hands.
Mould the dough into any cookie shapes you desire. I used a nozzle and made long fingers.
Bake the cookies at 160 °C for 12 – 15 minutes.
When the cookies have cooled down, melt the milky bar slab and dip your biscuits into it.
The milky bar can also be made into different colours using food gel.
