MILK TART SNACKWICH

MILK TART SNACKWICH

So yummy!!

  • For the milk tart:
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons custard powder
  • 2 tablespoons Maizena
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • For the covering :
  • plain white sliced bread
  • margarine / butter per slice
  • castor sugar mixed with cinnamon powder

Place all ingredients for the milk tart in a microwave safe bowl and mix well. Microwave on high for 7 minutes. Remove bowl from microwave and mix well with an electric mixer, then microwave on high for 5 minutes. Remove bowl and mix with an electric mixer until smooth. Return to microwave and microwave for a last 3 minutes on high. Remove and mix with electric mixer until smooth.
Put a layer of cling wrap directly on the mixture so not to allow a skin to form and let the mixture cool. Mix with an electric mixer to loosen again.

Butter white bread slices. Place buttered side on snackwich press.
Add a dollop of milk tart (not too much or it will spill out) in middle of bread.
Place other slice of bread on top, butter on the outside and make snackwich until golden.

Roll in castor sugar mixed with cinnamon.

Note:
With any leftover milk tart just make an easy base with crushed eat sum more biscuits and melted butter (even Tennis biscuits will work) and pour the rest of the milk tart over this base. Sprinkle with cinnamon and place in the fridge to enjoy cold.
