  • 1 kg kumquats (as jy dit oornag gelos het sal die pitte bo dryf, skep net af)
  •  ½ cup vinegar
  • ½ cup sugar

Cut kumquats in halves or quarters. Mix them with the sugar and vinegar and leave overnight. Then cook it on low heat for half an hour, stirring frequently.

Mix curry leaves, cummin, methimasala, sesame seeds and fine jeero in with boiling kumquats. (add spices to taste) Stir till it’s boiling. Bottle hot and put with lid on the bottom and cooled down.
